About the Project

Be Mine, Valentine is a small mail project Svn started in 2024, wanting to spread a little fun and whimsy thanks to all the friends who stuck with her this year.

How this Works

During the month of January, participants will sign up to recieve some fun goodies (please see merch list). I will be accepting ~20-25* people based on a lottery system! (2026).Participants can expect their packages by February 14, aka: Valentine's day**.Make sure to tag #svnsends on your social media accounts so I can ensure your letter arrived to you safely (because there is no tracking and that is very scary). No seriously, please let me know you got it.

*This year, I will try to equalize entries from each major shipping region (CAN/US/INTL) because it was very funny that last year had like mostly US participants.**Please note that I am sending this from Canada Post, using untracked Lettermail. There is a chance of the following:❤︎ Mail does not get delivered due to events outside my control.
❤︎ Mail is late due to external events outside my control.
❤︎ Mail gets damaged due to external events outside my control.

Rules

You must be over 18 by Jan 1, 2024.This is because I will require a mailing address, and I do not want to deal with legal shenanigans if you are underage. Just covering my bases even if all I draw are like chibis and mushy gushy couples (LOL)

You must confirm the mailing address details are correct when submitting the form - information submitted is what is going on the envelope!In 2024 and 2025, I reached out to everyone and personally confirmed details - it went fine (LOL) so this year, I'm believing in everyone's ability to give me the right details from the get-go.It is not FCFS so take your time when submitting the form. You will receive a confirmation email if you were accepted or declined - I'll also be updating when I send the confirmation email on my social media so keep an eye out!

US FRIENDS...if you get weirdly billed on stuff because of this project, please be prepared to cover it (tariffs(?))This is not my intention because this is a free project. It SHOULD be okay but IDK I am just covering my bases here really,,,gomenasorry,,,mail system pls be nice-

Don't ruin the good fun.While this is all for the sake of whimsy and love, I hope you will respect the time and effort I am putting into this.I very much enjoy doing this and I love hearing back from people who get my silly little mail but I will not hesitate to cancel the entire thing at anytime, even for close friends, if there are any shenanigans afoot. If it starts to be unenjoyable for me then I'm just going to stop because it's not worth it when I can be doing something else nod nod.

Is this really free to participate in?Yes, this project is free, for you! (It is not free for me LOL)

Is it AkeShu/ShuAke again?Yeah prob. Sorry (but am I really HAHAHA) - maybe next year it'll be different LOL,,,,

Is the dynamic AkeShu or ShuAke?I personally enjoy both dynamics (their charm to me is their silly freak4freak nature). Therefore, I don't draw them with the intention of sticking to a particular dynamic - I clearly just black out as the yaoi spirits posess me to make art or whatever I am up to (LOL).For the sake of this project, I will say that "what you see is what you get". I encourage everyone to check the merch list before signing up, as I'd like you to end up with something that you like.

Will you ever open more slots?No. It isn't because I don't want to, but unless production and shipping costs are covered, this is not something feasible in my schedule/budget.I think it'll be nice to though. I'm just not made of money and health (LOL). Maybe if I get some magical art patron with endless dollars to fund my life 'till retirement hahaha-

What countries do you ship to?I am at the whims of Canada Post. Unless you live in some extremely remote place, I should be able to send it to you. Please feel free to connect with me to make sure.

What if I don't receive my package?Unfortunately, this is something you must agree with when signing up as I will be sending this untracked, through Canada Post, using Lettermail. I am doing this to reduce costs to accomodate a good chunk of people (the rest goes to production), as this is an entirely self-funded project.That said, I'll be making some extras (not a lot) for my shop afterwards (helps to curb some of the costs associated with running this and fund next year's event, and maybe some bubble tea lol).

My mail came in all broken!Once I drop it to the postal office, it's out of my hands (because I am not crossing countries myself to hand you your mail). I cannot ensure your postal system will handle it gently.If you know your postal office is a bit mean with your packages, please let me know so I can pack it a bit more securely...or as securely a letter can get (stress).

Can I send you something back for White Day?Absolutely! If you get chosen, you can email me and I can send you details on where to send your white day letter. I've also received things back digitally (like fanart) so you also don't need to send something back physically if you don't want to.NOTE: I DO NOT EXPECT LETTERS BACK. This project is done under the assumption that I will not be receiving anything back. I do appreciate every single gift I've received though!

I want the items but I wasn't chosen!Sorry! I can only afford to send out so many as this project is entirely self-funded. That being said, I will be making extras so please feel free to cop the extras in my shop (mostly to recoup costs to do this again next year, make more merch, or buy myself a bubble tea when I am sad because the costs here are abysmal).

I think the project is really fun. Can I also do this?I don't own the idea of mailing people stuff - go crazy go stupid (with reasonable expectations that you will be spending a good chunk of money, time, and labour lol).
